Therapeutic Golf is a specialized form of recreational therapy, which blends elements of physical and occupational therapy with adaptive physical education. Marty teaches that golf can become a bridge between therapy and real-world living.
Therapeutic Golf (Recreation Therapy) is also about helping people develop a mindset that’s self-directed, not confined by clinical expectations or other people’s limitations. Therapeutic golf clinics promote independence for those living with a disability(ies) by modifying the game's equipment, rules, and environment to unlock physical, mental, and social advantages.
The Impact:
• It sharpens physical abilities like coordination, balance, and muscle strength.
